"Such a beautiful book. I love Vanilla's paintings, and I am not at all ashamed to say that I pushed everyting else aside for a couple of hours yesterday morning. As I read the text, especially the interview with Ian Bolton, I kept nodding in agreement. I can imagine the early years only too well, and Vanilla's ambition in life as an artist is inspiring, strengthening one's own resolve to keep going to, one hopes, the not-too-bitter end."
